Seminar on “Empowerment of Women in Engineering Profession”

The Seminar on “Empowerment of Women in Engineering Profession” was held on Saturday the 17th January, 2015, at IEP Convention Center.
The Seminar started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr. Sadia Muniza Faraz and followed by national anthem. Engr. S. Jamshed Rizvi, President, IEP presented his Presidential speech, Engr.Farhat Adil, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the welcome address and announced that IEP Karachi Centre will award life time free membership to all position holders of accredited Engineering University in Karachi. Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary IEP Karachi Centre presented the introduction of IEP and all of them acknowledged the outstanding achievements of Engr. Asfia Aleem convener of the Women Engineers Committee and also praised the efforts of the members of women engineers committee for organizing an exclusive event of its kind held at the IEP, in a very short notice, reflecting the dedication of the women engineers organizing committee. Engr. Asfia Aleem presented the introduction of the Seminar.
Concluding remarks were given by Engr. Nooruddin Ahmed, he appreciated the efforts put up by the IEP office bearers and members of the organizing committee. He expressed hope that women will continue to gather here, identify their problems and find practical solutions by taking ownership. He reassured that IEP will continue to support them in all respects.
Engr. Aimen Ahmed and Engr. Misbah Ali conducted the seminar.

The event formally came to an end with the vote of thanks by Engr. Maha Talat Mirza. The seminar ended followed by lunch.
