“IEP Lifetime Membership Awarding Ceremony
for 1st Three Position Holders of all PEC Accredited
Programmes of Engineering Universities of Karachi”

The Institution of Engineers Pakistan, Karachi Centre had organized a IEP Life Time Membership awarded to all the first positions holders of all Accredited Engineering Programmes of All Engineering Universities in Karachi) at IEP Convention Centre, 5th Floor IEP Building Karachi on Saturday July 8, 2017.
In order to promote academic and professional interest in engineering community, The Institution of Engineers Pakistan Karachi Centre has initiated an award of Gold Medal to 1st Position holders of all accredited engineering programmes of all engineering universities in Karachi from the year 2016. Besides this, all three position holders had been awarded free life membership of the Institution of Engineers Pakistan.
The purpose behind the move is not only to appreciate the position holders for achieving excellence in their respective disciplines but also to motivate them to be part of IEP by actively participating in the programmes of IEP for continuous development of their professional skills.
The programme started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr. Ali Bin Sohail followed by National Anthem.
Engr. Neelofar Hameed, Member Central Council IEP Karachi Centre conducted the programme.
Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary, IEP Karachi Centre presented an overview of the Institution of Engineers Pakistan. He also invited the participants to come forward and become member of IEP.
He also informed that IEP Karachi Centre had awarded Gold Medals to the first position holders in the year 2016 and 2017

Engr. Prof. Dr. S.F.A. Rafeeqi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the welcome address. He acknowledged the outstanding achievements of all position holders and he also appraised that IEP Karachi Centre is organizing an exclusive events on all mega issues. He expressed hope that position holders and our future engineers will continue to gather here, identify their problems and find practical solutions by taking ownership. He reassured that IEP will continue to support them in all respect.
Engr. Ali Bin Sohail shared his experience of journey with IEP which was very effective and highly appreciated by the participants.
A large number of position holders from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi University, and Hamdard University attended alongwith their parents.

The event formally came to the end and invited position holders / parents for their views and a group photographs was also taken.
