4th INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CONGRESS
23-24 JANUARY, 2009
(IEP HALL, 5TH FLOOR, IEP BUILDING KARACHI)

The 4th International Mechanical Engineering Congress was held on 23rd & 24th January, 2009 at Karachi. Mr. Kalim A. Siddiqui, Managing Director & CEO, Pakistan State Oil was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session. Engr.Rear Admiral M. I. Arshad, former Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre was the guest of honour.

The Congress started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr.Anwarul Haq Siddiqui, Engr.Zaffar Zuberi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the welcome address.

The Introduction of the Congress was presented by Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary, Vice-Chairman (Mechanical) IEP Karachi Centre and Convener, 4th International Mechanical Engineering Congress who high-lighted the Congress.

Engr.Zaffar Zuberi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the Congress shield to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Engr.Ayaz Mirza, Secretary IEP Karachi Centre & Convener, FIMEC-2007 presented the vote of thanks. Engr.Sohail Bashir, Facilitator, FIMEC-2009 conducted the Inaugural Session.

On the eve of FIMEC-2009 IEP Karachi Centre has arranged a student competition on the basis of final year students of Engineering University Project/Thesis. A Scrutiny Committee was formed consisting of:
