8th NATIONAL SEMINAR ON
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
21 & 22 OCTOBER, 2011
(IEP HALL, 5TH FLOOR, IEP BUILDING KARACHI)

The 8th National Seminar on Occupational Health, Safety & Environment was held on 21 & 22 October, 2011 at Karachi. Engr. Farhat M. Khan, Member National Assembly & Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Government of Pakistan was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session. Engr. Rear Admiral (R) M. I. Arshad, Past-Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre graced the occasion as Guest of Honor.

The Seminar started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr. Sohail Bashir. Engr. S. Jamshed Rizvi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the welcome address. The Introduction of the Seminar was presented by Engr. S.M.Pervez Sadiq, Co-Convener of the Seminar, Engr. Sohail Bashir conducted the Inaugural Session. Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary, IEP Karachi Centre presented the vote of thanks.

Engr. S. Jamshed Rizvi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the IEP Memento to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.

In the end Engr. M. Abdullah Farooqui, Convenor Organizing Committee presented the recommendations of the Seminar, which will be forwarded to relevant quarters.

A closing ceremony of the Seminar was also held in the evening of 22 October, 2011. Engr. Abdul Qadir Khanzada, Member National Assembly, & Chairman Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan, was the Chief Guest. In the end, participation certificates were awarded to all registered participants.
