7th NATIONAL SEMINAR ON
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
1ST & 2ND OCTOBER, 2010
(IEP HALL, 5TH FLOOR, IEP BUILDING KARACHI)

The 7th National Seminar on Occupational Health, Safety & Environment was held on 1st & 2nd October, 2010 at Karachi. Mr. Sultan Ahmed Chawla, President, Pakistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session. Engr. Rukhsana Zuberi, Chairperson, Pakistan Engineering Council graced the occasion as Guest of Honor.

The Seminar started from recitation of Holy Quran by Engr. Anwar ul Haq Siddiqui. Engr. S. Jamshed Rizvi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Cenre presented the welcome address. The Introduction of the Seminar was presented by Engr. Anwar ul Haq Siddiqui, Co-Convener of the Seminar, Engr. Sohail Bashir conducted the Inaugural Session. Engr.Zaffar A. Zuberi, President, IEP and Engr. Mian Sultan Mahmood, Secretary General, IEP also spoke on the occasion. Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary, IEP Karachi Centre presented the vote of thanks.

Engr. S. Jamshed Rizvi, Chairman, IEP Karachi Centre presented the IEP Shields to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.

The Seminar was spread over Five Technical Sessions and chaired / co-chaired by the following:

A Seminar shield and certificate was presented to each author by the Session Chairman whereas the Chairman IEP Karachi Centre alongwith Engr. Ayaz Mirza, Secretary, IEP Karachi Centre and Engr. M. Aijazul Haque, Convener, presented shield to Session Chairman and Co-Chairman at the end of each session.

A closing ceremony of the Seminar was also held in the evening of 2nd October, 2010. Engr. Dr. S.A. Hasan, Past President, IEP was the Chief Guest. In the end, participation certificates were awarded to all registered participants.
